The United Nations Human Rights Organization (UNHRO) is dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities across Sri Lanka. We operate independently of political affiliations and religious influence, focusing on humanitarian support, justice, and empowerment for those in need.
Our mission is to promote dignity, justice, and equal opportunity for marginalized communities. Guided by the principle “Duty Before Rights,” we empower individuals through economic support, vocational training, career guidance, and access to free legal advisory services. We strive to support the elderly, persons with disabilities, orphaned children, hospitals, and schools, while maintaining integrity, neutrality, and responsible action in all our programs.
To build a fair, compassionate, and united society in Sri Lanka, where every individual has access to justice, opportunities for growth, and essential humanitarian support.

At the United Nations Human Rights Organization (UNHRO), our mission is to uplift vulnerable communities across Sri Lanka by promoting dignity, justice, and equal opportunity. Guided by our principle, “Duty Before Rights” we empower low-income individuals through economic support initiatives, including concessionary grants, self-employment assistance, vocational training, and career guidance. We are committed to ensuring access to justice by providing free legal advisory services, while maintaining strict independence from political affiliations and religious influence. UNHRO does not collect public deposits, engage in religious conversion, or operate as a primary or secondary educational institution. Our humanitarian efforts extend to supporting the elderly, persons with disabilities, and orphaned children through food assistance and essential aid. We also contribute to hospitals and schools, organize medical and blood donation programs, and promote health awareness for the prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases. Through integrity, neutrality, and responsible action, we strive to build a fair, compassionate, and united society.
